Rewind Your Wine is a St. Louis regional wine cork recycling program charged with diverting some of the 15 billion wine corks that end up in landfills each year.
Through an organized collection and recycling effort, Rewind Your Wine hopes to ultimately make wine cork recycling as easy as recycling paper and plastics.
Created by a local company, Cork Tree Creative, the Rewind Your Wine program works by collecting wine corks from program pioneers and delivering them to Yemm & Hart, a Missouri-based company that recycles corks into reusable building materials such as cork tiles and partitions.
